Bateau Bay is situated just a few kilometers south of The Entrance and neighbouring Shelly Beach. Here you can experience some of the best coastal fishing in Australia in the many surrounding bays, inlets and lakes that abound this area.
Approximately 75 minutes drive from Sydney, Bateau Bay is extremely popular for fishing either from the beach itself or the coastal rocks. The rock cliffs are an iconic feature of the Central Coast region and the many rocky bases are ideal for exploring at low tide.
The Bateau Bay Family Fishing Club has in excess of 100 members and is a non profit organisation. Formed in 1983 our club has been contributing to the improvement of fishing on the Central Coast ever since that time.
Social events are a quintessential part of our club calendar and include an annual Christmas function, regular outings, family fun days and our annual Presentation night.
Weigh Ins are held at the local Bateau Bay Hotel where everyone can enjoy a cold drink and a tall yarn about the one that got away.
